Armed Police Respond to Report of Individual with a knife in Bushy Park

Police were called to Bushy Park, near the Kingston Bridge entrance, following reports of a male seen in the area carrying a knife. The incident was reported at approximately 2:25 p.m. today, December 24, 2024.

Officers promptly arrived at the scene near Bushey Park Mews, Hampton Hill to investigate. Authorities confirmed that the report involved a male suspect observed with a knife in the park, causing alarm among those nearby.

A section of the park near the Kingston Bridge entrance was cordoned off as officers worked to locate and address the situation. As of now, police have not confirmed if any arrests have been made or if the individual remains at large.

We have reached out to the Met Police for further details and if the man has been arrested and taken into custody.

Update 3.30pm

A Spokesman for the Met Police said: Police were called at about 2.15pm on Tuesday, 24 December to reports of a man believed to be damaging a tree with a knife in Bushy Park.

Officers attended and carried out a thorough search of the area but with no trace.
