Toddler’s Terrifying Crash: Three-Year-Old Breaks Leg After Darting Into Traffic in Swindon

A three-year-old boy suffered a broken leg after he suddenly ran into the path of a car on Cricklade Road, Swindon, on Sunday afternoon. The crash took place just before 4.15pm near the Edinburgh Street junction.

Emergency Rush to Hospital

Paramedics raced to the scene to treat the boy before rushing him to hospital. Police closed Cricklade Road for around four hours to investigate and assess his injuries. Luckily, medics confirmed the damage is not life-threatening. The road reopened at 8.30pm.

Driver Stays Put, No Arrests

Wiltshire Police revealed the driver remained at the scene and no arrests were made. Eyewitnesses say the child suddenly ran into the road, leaving the driver no time to react or brake.
