Man and Woman Face Murder Charges
Staffordshire Police confirmed that Kenneth Newton, 57, and Melanie James, 63, have been charged with murder, manslaughter, and causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult.
Tragic Death of Rubin Blount
The victim, 28-year-old Rubin Blount, who was Kenneth Newton’s stepbrother, was found in worrying condition on 27 November 2022. Paramedics rushed him to hospital, but Rubin tragically died three days later.
Court Appearance Scheduled
Both Newton and James are set to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow, Thursday 20 November, as the investigation moves forward.
