A 26-year-old man has been slammed with an eight-year prison sentence at Gloucester Crown Court for a string of serious offences linked to drugs and firearms in the Forest of Dean.
Cumar Cumar’s Crime Spree Uncovered
Cumar Cumar, from Eastwood Road, Balsall Heath, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possession with intent to supply Class A drugs — heroin and cocaine — possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, dangerous driving, possession of criminal property, and carrying a knife.
Police first caught wind of Cumar’s shady activities last August when he was spotted acting suspiciously behind the wheel of his Audi near Lydney. Officers stopped the car and found 100 wraps of crack cocaine stashed in a clear zip-lock bag in the glove box.
Attempting to dodge suspicion, Cumar initially gave a false name, Kamari Gordon. But police soon uncovered the truth, along with a lock knife, a stash of cash totalling £5,030, two mobile phones, and additional suspected drugs hidden in the vehicle.
High-Speed Chase Ends with Gun and Drugs Haul
But the saga didn’t end there. In November, Cumar was involved in a police chase after he ignored stop signals in Bream. His Audi crashed into a parked car, but he managed to flee on foot.
Officers found a loaded, modified 9mm pistol concealed in the boot, two phones revealing more drug deals, and packages of suspected crack cocaine and heroin.
DNA evidence tied Cumar firmly to the firearm. He was arrested days later in Birmingham and charged.

Last Tuesday, Cumar was sentenced to eight years behind bars. The verdict sends a clear message that drug dealing and firearm offences won’t be tolerated in the region.
