South Yorkshire Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to quiz over a sexual assault at a busy Sheffield city centre pub.

Attack Reported at Katie O’Brien’s Irish Tavern

The incident reportedly took place on 8 March at 12.50am inside Katie O’Brien’s Irish Tavern. A woman was sexually assaulted by a man in the crowded venue. Police confirm enquiries are ongoing and have issued the CCTV footage hoping someone will recognise the suspect.

Who Is the Man Police Want to Speak To?

  • White male, approximately 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall
  • Slim build
  • Short grey or brown hair
  • Wearing a grey jacket

Officers admit the CCTV image isn’t crystal clear but believe it could help jog memories of anyone in or around the pub that night.

“We are releasing a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with reports of a sexual assault inside a Sheffield bar,” said a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson. “We appreciate the image is not of the highest quality, but we hope it may help to jog people’s memories if they were in the venue or surrounding area at the time.”

Police Urge Anyone With Information to Come Forward

If you recognise the man or have any information, contact South Yorkshire Police online or call 101 quoting investigation number 14/47920/26. This is an active investigation — your tip could help catch the culprit.
