Teen Arrested in South London Terror Probe

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command in a swift operation on the morning of Friday, 7 January. Officers swooped on a south London address as part of a proactive crackdown on terror threats.

Suspected Terror Preparation Linked to Far-Right Ideology

The teenager was detained under PACE and arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Police have completed their searches at the premises. He was taken to a London police station and has now been bailed to appear at a later date.

Authorities confirm there is no immediate threat to the public. The investigation is believed to be tied to extreme right-wing beliefs.
