Armed Stand-Off at Leeds Caravan Park Ends with Arrest
Police Called Over Domestic Threat
At 1.56pm on Saturday, police were alerted to a domestic-related malicious communications offence. The investigation led officers to St Helena’s Caravan Park in Bramhope the following day.
Suspect Pulls Gun, Forces Police Back
Just after 1pm on Sunday, when officers arrived at the scene, a man brandished what looked like a firearm. Police wisely pulled back, preventing any immediate danger.
Firearms Unit and Negotiators Step In
An armed response team and negotiators set up an operation to defuse the tense situation. Their efforts paid off when, at 12.42pm on Monday, the 56-year-old suspect was arrested peacefully and taken into custody.

Chief Inspector Pete Hall, head of neighbourhood policing for Leeds District, said: “We would like to thank the residents of the park and anyone else affected for their patience while we worked to bring this incident to a safe conclusion.”
