Emergency Declared on British Airways Flight from Aberdeen
A full emergency was declared this morning on a British Airways flight from Aberdeen.
Flight G-EUYW, an A320, sounded the alarm just after 11:20am while heading to Heathrow. The crew urgently requested priority landing from London air traffic control.
Urgent Landing and Emergency Response
The plane was given immediate clearance to return and landed safely at Heathrow shortly after noon. Paramedics, Heathrow Fire Services, and the London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene.
Reports suggest the emergency involves an incapacitated crew member onboard.
Emergency Teams Board the Aircraft
An airport operations vehicle, known as “HAL Checker 1,” followed the flight as it was shadowed by emergency services. Once on the tarmac, emergency responders quickly boarded the plane.
