Tragic Fatal Crash Shuts A303 Near Stonehenge
Police rushed to the A303 near Stonehenge at around 2.20am this morning (28/01) after a serious collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
Tragically, the pedestrian, a 24-year-old man, suffered a severe head injury and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Road Remains Closed Amid Ongoing Investigation
The stretch of the A303 between the A345 and A360 is shut in both directions. Authorities expect the closure to last for some time as they probe the fatal crash.
Drivers are urged to follow diversion routes put in place by Highways England.
Calls for Witnesses to Step Forward
Police are appealing for anyone who was on or near the A303 around 2.20am to get in touch. Witnesses can call 101 quoting log 13 of 28/01.
