Man Stabbed to Death in Evington Road Horror
Tragedy struck just after midnight on Monday, December 27, as police rushed to Evington Road near Hamilton Street. A man in his 40s was found with stab wounds after an ambulance call at 12.32am.
Despite efforts to save him, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after 1am. Authorities have now launched a full murder investigation.
Crime Scene Locked Down as Police Hunt Killer
A police cordon remains in place while officers scour the area. Teams are combing CCTV footage, conducting forensic tests, and speaking to witnesses. Detectives are desperate for help from the public.
“A man has lost his life and we are determined to find out the full circumstances and who is responsible,” said Detective Inspector Steve Wragg of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit.
“We know this is a busy area, and there will have been people out late on Boxing Day and into the early hours of the Bank Holiday. If you were near Evington Road and Hamilton Street, or caught anything unusual, please come forward.”
