Young Woman Found Dead in East London Flat
Police were called to Earlham Grove, E7, just before noon on Boxing Day following welfare concerns for a woman living there.
Body Discovered, Man Arrested on Murder Suspicion
The body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s, was discovered inside the property. Officers are working to identify her and notify next of kin. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched a full homicide investigation.

A crime scene is in place while enquiries continue. Police say the suspect and victim are thought to have known each other.
