Woman Found Dead in East London Home – Man Held on Murder Suspicion
Police were called to Earlham Grove, E7, just before noon on Boxing Day after concerns for a woman’s welfare. Tragically, officers discovered the body of a woman believed to be in her twenties inside the property.
Man, 26, Arrested at Scene
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and remains in custody. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched a full homicide investigation. A crime scene is in place as inquiries continue.
Identity and Motive Unclear
Officers are working to confirm the woman’s identity and inform her next of kin. It is believed the suspect and victim were known to each other. A post-mortem is due soon to determine the cause of death.
