Victim of Terrifying Hutton Mount Burglary Pleads for Justice
A shaken woman victimised in a brutal burglary a year ago has urged witnesses to step up and help catch the criminals. The terrifying raid unfolded on 24 September 2019 at a home on Heronway, Hutton Mount.
Five Balaclava-Wrapped Thugs Ransack Home
At least five masked men stormed the property, demanding cash. The 41-year-old victim was attacked with a crowbar, had a cleaning spray blasted into her eyes, and faced threats. She suffered serious bruises to her arm and back.
The raiders made off with two luxury watches – a Rolex Lady-Datejust in Oystersteel yellow gold and a Breitling Galactic 29 – plus a jewellery box brimming with precious items.
£30,000 Reward Launched to Snare Burglars
Police and three separate third parties are now offering up to £30,000 through Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The tip-off hotline is 0800 555 111, and all info remains anonymous.
Victim’s Emotional Plea and Police Call for Witnesses
“This has had a significant impact on my life – I have been unable to return to work and have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder,” the victim said. “I would urge anyone with any information to do the right thing and come forward. These men need locking up to stop them hurting others.”
PC Jonathan Stephenson, leading the investigation, added: “This was a horrific crime that has left a lasting mark on the victim and her family. We are working hard to find the perpetrators. Someone out there knows who they are – please come forward, no detail is too small.”
