Man Dies After Late-Night Brawl in Leytonstone
Tragedy struck Church Lane, Leytonstone, late on Sunday as police were called just before 11pm to reports of a fight. Two men in their 20s were found injured at the scene.
One Man Dead, Other in Hospital
Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, one man died at the scene. Police believe they know who he is but are waiting for formal ID and confirmation that his next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.
The second man was rushed to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet
Police have launched an urgent probe into the fight. There have been no arrests so far. Officers have sealed off Church Lane with cordons and extra patrols are being sent to the Leytonstone area.
Locals are urged to speak with officers if they have information or worries about crime in their neighbourhood.
