Gun Havoc in Orpington: Man Shot in the Leg by Suspected Airgun

Armed officers from the Met Police Trojan unit swooped on Orpington, Kent, after a man was hit in the leg by what’s believed to be an airgun pellet.

Incident Sends Shockwaves Through Quiet Suburb

The Met said the call came around 1.50pm on Sunday, 23 August. The victim reported being struck near Crockenhill Road by a projectile fired from nearby woodland.

Flying Missiles From the Woods Cause Panic

  • Other items were reportedly fired or thrown from the same woodland spot.
  • Despite a police presence, no suspects were found in the area.

A paramedic treated the injured man on-site, and thankfully, hospital treatment wasn’t required.
