Man Shot Multiple Times in Dartford Drama
A property on Priory Road North, Dartford, is in full police lockdown after a man was reportedly shot multiple times early Saturday evening. Crime scene tape and cordons seal off the area as officers continue their investigation.
Armed Response and Ambulances Swamp the Scene
Residents witnessed a heavy emergency response, with armed police vehicles, ambulances, and first responders closing the road. Officers urged locals to keep clear while the tense situation unfolded.
One neighbour told social media that a man allegedly shot his ex-partner in a garage at the back of the property before being shot himself by police. This has not yet been confirmed by Kent Police.
Forensics and Door-to-Door Inquiries Underway
Kent Police remain on guard at the rear car park and property. Specialist crime scene officers have been spotted entering the house in forensic suits. The Kent Major Crime Team is carrying out door-to-door enquiries and has recovered Ring doorbell footage that may shed light on the incident.
A police spokesman revealed that officers and a trained negotiator responded to reports of a disturbance at 12:40pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Both a man and a woman were taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.
Shocking Details From Neighbour
“An officer in riot gear stormed the property, smashing down the front door, and rescued two young children,” said a neighbour who wished to remain anonymous. “After that, a number of shots were fired.”
Officers remain at the scene as investigations continue to determine exactly what happened. The Independent Office for Police Conduct has been notified by Kent Police, but it is still unclear whether a formal investigation will be launched.
