Brave Residents Put Out Fire Before Firefighters Arrived
Two local residents, a man and a woman, who were in a nearby house, sprang into action. They managed to douse the flames at the front door before the fire service got there, stopping the fire from spreading into their homes.

Detective Inspector Gareth Lavery described the attack as “arson endangering life,” highlighting the serious danger to the household occupants. He urged anyone who saw the incident or has information to get in touch with police immediately.
