Man in His 20s Dies After Cardiac Arrest in Bexleyheath
A tragic death rocked Bexleyheath early on Bank Holiday Monday. A man in his 20s suffered a cardiac arrest and died despite rapid emergency response.
Emergency Call and Police Response
At 4.10am on Monday, August 25, London Ambulance Service alerted police to a man in cardiac arrest on Broadway, Bexleyheath. Paramedics and officers rushed to the scene but, sadly, the young man was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigation Launched Amid Suspicion of Drug Use
The Metropolitan Police have declared the death unexpected and opened an investigation. It’s understood the man had been at a party behind a business premises before collapsing outside. Sources hint he may have consumed a bad batch of ketamine, though police have yet to confirm.
A post-mortem and toxicology tests are scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
Unrelated Arrests and Community Shock
Police made several unrelated arrests at the location, focusing on individuals with uncertain immigration status, now being handled by the Home Office.
Friends described feeling “very shocked” by the sudden loss. The deceased has not been formally identified, but his next of kin have been informed.
