Tragic Crash: Man Killed in Light Aircraft Accident Near Troutbeck
A man died after a light aircraft ploughed into the ground north of Troutbeck this afternoon, police confirmed.
Solo Pilot Confirmed Dead at Scene
The single occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services rushed to the site following reports at around 2.50pm on October 11, between Keswick and Penrith.
No Other Casualties as Investigation Begins
Thankfully, no one else was hurt in the crash. Cumbria Police have sealed off the area, and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been alerted to begin their probe.
