Teen Girls Stabbed on Croydon School Runs – Police Hunt Attacker

South London detectives are on high alert after two teenage girls were violently stabbed while walking to school in Croydon. The attacks happened just days apart, sparking fears in the local community.

First Attack: Girl Stabbed in the Leg

On Wednesday, 4 November at 8:50am, police rushed to Moffat Road after reports of a girl injured in a stabbing. A 15-year-old was reportedly approached by a stranger and stabbed in the leg. She was taken to hospital, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

Second Incident: Another 15-Year-Old Stabbed in the Arm

Just two days later, at 8:23am on Friday, 6 November, officers and paramedics responded to reports on St Paul’s Road. Another 15-year-old girl was attacked by a stranger and stabbed in the arm. She was treated at the scene before hospitalisation, with her condition also not life-threatening.

Police Confident Attacks Are Linked

Detective Inspector David Adams of South Area Command said: “These attacks are almost identical in nature and I am confident that they are linked.”

He added that the victims attend different schools and are not thought to know each other. Police have released footage from a witness to the second attack and are urging the public to help identify the suspect.

“We are doing everything we can to identify and arrest this individual,” Adams said. “Enhanced patrols are now in place at the start and end of school days. Please contact police or speak to officers if you have concerns or information.”
