Teen Attacked and Robbed on Canterbury Bus – Police Hunt Witnesses

A violent robbery on a Canterbury bus has left a teenage boy injured and police scrambling for witnesses.

Assault on Busy Westgate Towers Bus

The teenager was assaulted by two passengers on the Triangle bus, which had stopped at Westgate Towers around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. The attackers ripped off his phone, AirPods, and glasses before fleeing the scene.

Luckily, a brave member of the public stepped in, forcing the suspects to get off the bus. The victim was rushed to hospital with injuries caused by the attack.

Police Urge Witnesses and Hero To Come Forward

Detectives believe the victim and attackers know each other. They’re keen to hear from anyone who saw the assault, especially the person who intervened.
