Covid Hits West Berkshire Police Force!

Officers Test Positive for Coronavirus

Several officers from the West Berkshire Local Policing Area have recently tested positive for Covid-19. The cases were confirmed in the last few days, sparking immediate action.

Swift Isolation Measures in Place

Assistant Chief Constable Christian Bunt, Thames Valley Police’s Gold Commander for the Covid response, said the affected officers are now self-isolating. “Early action was taken to ensure these officers isolated quickly to minimise the spread of the virus,” he explained.

Service Unaffected Despite Infections

ACC Bunt reassured the public: “This is not having any impact on the service we provide.” Police operations continue uninterrupted, with safety plans tightly in place.

Authorities Working Closely to Contain Outbreak

Thames Valley Police are working hand-in-hand with Public Health England and West Berkshire Council to manage and contain the situation. Contingency plans remain active to keep both officers and the public safe.
