Chaos on Maidstone Road this afternoon as a car veered off the road and ploughed straight into a care home.

The alarm was raised just after 3:30pm on Friday when the vehicle crashed into the kitchen area of the care home. Officers quickly blocked the road to manage the situation and keep the area safe.
Serious Injuries Reported
The crash left those inside the car seriously injured. Paramedics provided urgent treatment at the scene. Firefighters deployed Paratech stabilisation gear to shore up the damaged building and prevent further collapse.
