A shocking crash on Great Hampton Street, Birmingham, left one pedestrian dead and another injured yesterday afternoon. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) rushed to the scene around 3:45 PM after multiple emergency calls reported a car hitting two pedestrians.
Emergency Crews Battle to Save Victim
On arrival, emergency crews found bystanders performing CPR on one man with severe injuries. Despite frantic efforts by ambulance staff, including a critical care unit and trauma specialists, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second pedestrian, also a man, suffered minor injuries. He was treated on-site before being taken to Sandwell Hospital for further care.

The driver, a woman, was medically assessed but discharged without the need for hospital treatment.
