Microwave Blaze Sparks Fire Drama in Hythe Flat!
Firefighters Race to Military Road
Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a flat fire in Military Road, Hythe. Two fire engines rolled up quickly as crews donned breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
Microwave Blamed for Accidental Blaze
Crews used a hose reel jet to douse the fire, believed to have started accidentally inside a microwave. Then, they deployed a high-pressure fan to clear out the choking smoke from the property.
One Treated for Smoke Inhalation
Emergency services gave first aid on-site to one person suffering smoke inhalation. SECAmb paramedics also attended the scene to assist.
