Emergency Services Rush to Scene but No Hope
Early Wednesday morning, emergency crews were called to a “serious incident” at the site. Despite their efforts, the youngster was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family Funfair Turns Fatal
The funfair, run by Kent-based Forrest Amusements, was gearing up to open to the public on Wednesday. Rides had only begun to be set up the day before.
Tributes Pour In for Young Victim
- The boy, named locally as Mckenzie Cook, from Deal, was there reportedly on a dare.
- Friends have laid flowers and cards at the spot, near the funfair entrance.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.42am on August 3rd to a serious incident at Pencester Gardens in Dover.”
Kent Police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. The community mourns the tragic loss of a young life taken too soon.
