Shocking Kill Spree Ends with Shooter’s Mother Among Dead
Tragedy struck as Jake Davison’s six-minute rampage claimed multiple lives, including his own mother, Maxine. Despite frantic efforts from advanced paramedics, a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and ambulance doctors, Maxine died at the scene.
Police Reveal Disturbing Details at Press Conference
Devon and Cornwall police disclosed that 22-year-old Davison was known to authorities and held a valid firearms licence, renewed in 2020. The bodybuilder’s chilling spree started when he burst into his mother’s home wielding a pump-action shotgun.
Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer confirmed Davison fired four times, instantly killing his 51-year-old mother shortly after 6:12pm on Thursday.
Youngest Victim Just Three Years Old
Among the victims was Plymouth’s youngest, a three-year-old girl. Police also revealed that both Davison’s mother and grandfather had sought mental health support for him. Yet, despite concerns, he retained his gun licence.
“Davison murdered a female family member during his frenzied shooting,” said Chief Constable Sawyer.
