Five Arrested After Greenhithe Shooting
Police from Kent and Essex’s Serious Crime Directorate have made five arrests following a shooting in Greenhithe.
31-Year-Old Victim Shot in Arm
The victim, a 31-year-old Essex man, was injured in the arm during an attack on Cooper Close, Stone, at around 7.45pm on Sunday 8 March 2020. He remains in a London hospital in stable condition and has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
Two Men Held on Attempted Murder Charges
- A 38-year-old from Greenhithe and a 41-year-old from south east London were arrested the same night, suspected of attempted murder. Both remain in custody.
- On 9 March, a 35-year-old Crayford man was arrested for possession of a firearm and is also in custody.
- A 25-year-old Greenhithe woman, arrested for assisting an offender, has been released pending further inquiries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Gavin Moss said: “We’re progressing well with enquiries and have spoken to several witnesses. But we still need anyone who knows anything to get in touch.”
