Woman Killed in Horror Crash on Quiet Hampshire Road
A woman in her forties was tragically killed late Wednesday night on New Odiham Road near Alton. She had stepped out of her car around 11.50 p.m. to inspect a fallen tree along with another driver when disaster struck.

Both women were hit by a white Vauxhall Corsa speeding down the quiet country road. The woman in her forties died at the scene. The other, a woman in her fifties, suffered injuries but survived.

Hampshire Constabulary is launching an urgent investigation. Officers are appealing to anyone who saw the crash or captured it on dash cam to come forward. PC Jonathan Wood said,
“This event occurred on a quiet country road late at night. We would like to speak with anyone who witnessed this incident or the vehicles involved, and especially with anyone who has pertinent dash cam footage that could help us.”
