Thieves Steal Lifesaving Gear from London Ambulance in Canning Town

Rapid Response Vehicle Targeted Overnight

Lifesaving equipment was ripped from a London Ambulance Service rapid response car after villains smashed its window in Canning Town. The vehicle was parked overnight at the Ambulance Service’s Cody Road base when the theft happened on Monday.

Vital Medical Gear Stolen, Ambulance Out of Action

A spokesman for the Ambulance Service blasted the thieves, saying, “We are very disappointed that one of our response cars was damaged and items stolen from it in the car park of one of our offices in east London overnight. This car now has to be repaired so is unavailable for use by our emergency planning officers to respond to major incidents. The items stolen are vital pieces of medical equipment.”

Police Appeal for Information

So far, no one has been arrested. Police urge anyone with info to call 101, quoting reference number 5313228/19 dated April 30. This callous theft puts lives at risk by sidelining crucial emergency gear.
