Toddler Falls from Balcony in Belvedere: Emergency Services Race to Scene
A four-year-old child took a terrifying tumble from a first-floor balcony in Belvedere on the evening of June 18. The incident happened just after 8:30 PM on Norman Road, close to Yarnton Way, sparking a swift and serious emergency response.
Rapid Response: Ambulance, Air Support, and Police Attend Scene
London Ambulance Service, Metropolitan Police, and even London’s Air Ambulance were quickly scrambled to the scene. Ambulance crews, paramedics in fast-response vehicles, and an incident response officer arrived within minutes to provide urgent care.
The youngster was treated immediately at the scene before being rushed by road to a major trauma centre. Fortunately, medics assessed the injuries as non-life-threatening.
“We were called at 8:26 PM on Tuesday, 18 June, to reports of a fall on Norman Road, DA17. Our crews reached the scene in five minutes to treat the child before transporting her to a major trauma centre,” a London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed.
Met Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances or Arrests
The Metropolitan Police made it clear that no arrests have been made in connection with the fall. A force spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 20:30 hrs to reports of a child falling from height. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. The four-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries that are non-life-threatening. There were no arrests.”

Neighbours breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the child’s injuries were not serious. Many praised the lightning-fast work of emergency crews. The incident remains under investigation as authorities continue to ensure the child and family’s safety.
