Teen Murdered in Shocking Petts Wood Stabbing
Detectives have launched a murder probe after a 19-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Petts Wood’s Jubilee Park. Cops are urgently hunting witnesses to help crack the case.
Heroic Efforts Couldn’t Save Victim
The alarm was raised at around 2:30pm on Wednesday, September 20, when London Ambulance Service reported a stabbing near Tent Peg Lane. Emergency crews arrived fast, including the Air Ambulance, but tragically, the young victim died at the scene.
His family has been informed, though formal ID is pending. A post-mortem is planned.
Police Plead for Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Webb made a direct call to locals: “If you saw the attack or noticed anyone acting suspiciously near the park, please contact us. Even the smallest detail could help find the suspect.”
The crime scene remains cordoned off with Specialist Crime Command detectives leading the investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
Community Left Reeling as Police Boost Patrols
Superintendent Lewis Collins said, “Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and friends. This was a tragic event in a normally quiet spot. We will be increasing police presence in the area and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
