A woman in her 20s has tragically died after a brutal stabbing on Croydon’s usually quiet Frith Road. The shocking daylight attack has left the community reeling and sparked a full murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The horrific incident unfolded at 9:07am, beginning inside a nearby property before escalating onto the street. Despite rapid response from London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance crews, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 30s with minor injuries was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command lead forensic inquiries amid a large cordon.
