Blaze Breaks Out in Tonbridge Home – Firefighters Douse Electrical Fire

Kent Fire and Rescue rushed to a house on Mabledon Road, Tonbridge, after reports of an electrical fire in the dining room. Two fire engines sped to the scene as crews donned breathing apparatus and fought the flames with hose reel jets.

Smoke Clears, One Treated for Minor Burns

High-powered fans were used to clear thick smoke from the property. One occupant suffered minor burns to his feet and leg and was treated on site before being handed over to SECAmb paramedics.

Firefighters’ Warning: Don’t Overload Sockets

The blaze is believed to have been accidental. Fire crews urged residents to avoid overloading power sockets and extension leads to prevent similar fires in the future.
