I’ve Caught Covid19 Despite Trying Everything!
So, folks – I’ve got Covid19.
Believe me, I tried SO hard to dodge it. I wore all the PPE, washed my hands like a hawk, disinfected all the things. My colleagues and I stayed ultra careful.
But being surrounded by unwell patients, it was always a risk.
Mild Symptoms, But Still Serious
Thankfully, my symptoms are mild so far – just a slight headache and a temperature that hasn’t cracked 37.8°C. I’m one of the lucky ones for now.
Stay Home or Spread the Virus!
Here’s the deal. Stay Home, Stay Safe. If you’re out breaking social distancing rules, you could be handing this virus to Tom, Dick, and Harry without even knowing.
And one of those folks might not be as healthy as twenty-six-year-old me. That’s when tragedy hits.
I’m not here to scare you (well, maybe a bit), but seriously, if you think you’re above this virus and you’ve been out gallivanting while flouting the rules, don’t you dare clap for key workers on Thursday.
Key Workers Are Carrying The Burden
I’ve got to stay in my tiny one-bedroom flat, alone with my fish Bruce, for 14 days (plus the four I’ve already done). If I can do that, so can you.
Our NHS is running at cut-throat capacity and still doing an incredible job – for now.
This virus is absolutely wrecking communities. My colleagues are seeing things that’ll haunt them for life. It’s tragic beyond words.
I’ll Do My Bit From Home
I feel rubbish not being out there helping, but I’ll stay indoors as ordered – for the greater good.
