Man Shot Dead in Shocking Sydenham Morning Gun Attack

The Metropolitan Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal shooting rocked Wells Park Road, Sydenham, on Sunday, November 10.

Gunfire Erupts on Quiet Sunday Morning

At around 10:10 a.m., emergency crews rushed to the scene following reports of gunshots. Officers and ambulance teams found a man suffering from serious gunshot wounds. Despite desperate efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to confirm his identity and notify relatives. A post-mortem will be carried out soon.

Two Others Injured, Including Woman with Gunshot Wounds

A woman with gunshot injuries to her legs was taken to hospital. Thankfully, her wounds are not life-threatening. A third person was also admitted with suspected gunshot injuries. Police await updates on their condition.

No Arrests Yet – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

So far, no arrests have been made. Commander Peter Stevens addressed the community: “I know people will be shocked by this senseless act of violence, especially on a Sunday morning in a residential area. I share their concerns and can assure the local community that the Met’s response has been rapid.”

Additional officers, including forensic teams, are on the ground. Police cordons remain in place while investigations continue. Commander Stevens added, “Many people have already contacted us, but we need anyone who saw or heard anything, or who has phone, CCTV, or doorbell footage to come forward.”
