Cannabis factory and knives found in Morden raids after suspicious activity call
Early-morning swoop in Morden
Police sprang into action at 2:19am on 11 September after reports of suspicious behaviour on St Helier Avenue, Morden. Officers stopped a van on nearby Morden Hall Road and arrested one man immediately.
Drugs haul and bladed weapons uncovered
A search of a local address revealed a fully operational cannabis factory, along with dangerous bladed weapons. A second man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and possession of offensive weapons.
Ongoing probe targets wider criminal links
Authorities say investigations continue to see if this bust connects to larger organised crime networks in the area. Police praised officers for their quick response and urged locals to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity.
“The discovery of illegal substances and weapons highlights how vital community reports are to fighting crime,” said a police spokesperson.
The investigation remains live. Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and assist with enquiries.
