Man Found Dead at Ocean Village Home – Police Launch Investigation
On Wednesday, March 22nd, Weber Nogueira, 54, was found dead at his residence in Ocean Village, Southampton. His death is currently being treated as ‘unexplained’ by Hampshire Police.
Specialist Officers Support Family as Probe Gets Underway
The grim discovery was made at 11:16 a.m. on Channel Way. Police said specially trained officers are assisting Weber’s family during this difficult time. Chief Inspector Marcus Kennedy, Southampton’s deputy district commander, offered condolences: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died.”
Police Hunting for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Rod Kenny, leading the inquiry, appealed for help from the public. He said:
“I’d like to hear from anyone driving on Canute Road, Ocean Way, Channel Way, or nearby areas between 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 21st, and 4.30am on Wednesday, March 22nd who may have dashcam footage. We are keeping an open mind on how Weber died and want to gather as much information as possible.”
Additional police presence will patrol Ocean Village while officers investigate. Police stress there is no known threat to the public.
