Russian Man Critically Stabbed in Pattaya Clash
A Russian man lies in critical condition after a brutal stabbing in Pattaya. Another Russian national has been arrested over the violent attack.
Violence Erupts Near Pattaya Condo
The shock stabbing happened around 6PM on Saturday, April 26, near a condominium in Soi 4, Pattaya. Pattaya City Police rushed to the scene following reports of a vicious fight involving foreigners.
Officers found Mr Romanov (surname withheld), a Russian citizen, bleeding heavily from a deep stab wound to his neck. Police confirmed a major artery was severed, putting Romanov in critical state.
Emergency crews acted fast, administering first aid before rushing him to Pattaya 1 Hospital, where he remains under urgent care.
Suspect Caught Hours Later
In a swift police manhunt, 43-year-old Mr Denis (surname withheld), another Russian, was arrested around 11PM the same night close to the crime scene in Soi 4 Pratumnak.
Witnesses reported Denis appeared heavily intoxicated, incoherent, and suspiciously lurking near the area. A concerned citizen tipped off authorities, prompting his arrest.
Denis is now in custody facing serious charges, while police continue their investigation.
