Arson Attack Hits Tory MP Mike Freer’s Office on Christmas Eve
Police are probing a suspected arson at the Christmas Eve at the constituency office of North London Tory MP Mike Freer.
Fire Erupts at Rear of North Finchley Office
The blaze broke out around 7pm at the back of Freer’s office in the North Finchley and Golders Green area. Luckily, no one was inside when the fire started.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident and said the fire began in a shed outside the Ballards Lane premises. Officers believe the fire was deliberately set, but no arrests have been made yet.
MP Praises Emergency Services for Quick Response
Mike Freer told the BBC: “The police and fire brigade were on the scene in minutes and have been incredible in their response.”
Images circulating on social media showed both Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade vehicles at the scene Sunday evening.

Freer has represented the North Finchley constituency since 2010 and currently serves as parliamentary under-secretary of state for courts and legal services, a junior role in the Ministry of Justice.
