Murder Probe Launched After Woman Stabbed to Death in Rushden
Northamptonshire Police have opened a murder investigation after a 25-year-old woman was fatally stabbed in Rushden.
Deadly Attack on Wellingborough Road
The horrific attack took place on Saturday night, December 7, around 8.30pm near St George’s Way. Despite paramedics rushing to the scene, the young woman was pronounced dead there and then.
Multiple Arrests Made as Police Hunt for Justice
- A 27-year-old man and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
- A second 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is being held by officers.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Pete Long said: “This was an extremely tragic incident in which a young woman has lost her life. We are doing all we can to bring those responsible to justice.”
“A large team of detectives is working around the clock following multiple leads in this fast-paced investigation.”
“The Rushden community has been deeply shocked. If you saw anything or have dashcam footage from the area, please come forward.”
