West London Drug Boss and Three More Nabbed in Dawn Raids
The suspected kingpin of a major drug ring and three accomplices were arrested early this morning in West London. The Organised Crime Partnership (OCP), a joint task force from the National Crime Agency and Metropolitan Police, swooped in raids linked to the high-profile Operation Venetic.
Ringleader Caught at Hammersmith Flat
The 34-year-old ringleader was snapped up at his North End Road flat in Hammersmith. Authorities zeroed in on him after intercepted messages from the encrypted network EncroChat connected him to three other suspects. Operation Venetic, cracking down on encrypted crime, played a key role in pinning him down.
Targeting London’s Cocaine Supply Chain
Police believe this gang was behind the distribution of vast amounts of cocaine across London and the Home Counties. A spokesperson said:
“The trade in class A drugs fuels violence and exploitation. Today’s operation is yet another example of the NCA and Met Police working together to protect the public from this threat.”
With this haul, officers dealt a serious blow to organised drug crime in the capital.
