Five-year-old Kelan Logan-Derench from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, has died in a heartbreaking accident during his first family holiday abroad.

Holiday Horror: Kelan Falls Into Pool

The little boy was swimming with his mum Ciara, older sister Cienna, and grandmother when he tragically fell into a swimming pool on Saturday, November 25. Despite desperate efforts to save him, Kelan sadly passed away.

Family Devastated, Urgent Funds Needed

A close friend, Serena Whitehead, launched a GoFundMe page to help bring Kelan’s body back to the UK and cover funeral costs. She revealed the family’s grief, saying:

“Kelan had a tragic accident and fell into the swimming pool. Heartbreakingly, nothing could be done to save him, and he sadly lost his life. He was a cheeky, mischievous, happy little boy, a loving younger brother to Cienna, and was about to become a big brother himself in February 2024.”

Community Rallies Behind Family

The family is “absolutely broken” by the loss. As of Monday morning, the GoFundMe has raised over £12,000 of a £15,000 target, highlighting the outpouring of support from well-wishers.
