Tragic Crash on Millfields Road Claims Two Lives
Disaster struck on Millfields Road in Ettingshall yesterday afternoon when a crash left two dead and three injured. The emergency call came in at 3.37pm, throwing the quiet road into chaos.
Two Dead at Scene, Three Hospitalised
The victims pronounced dead at the scene were elderly, aged 82 and 76. Three others from the same vehicle were rushed to hospital: a 90-year-old man in serious condition, and two men, 79 and 78, listed as stable.
51-Year-Old Arrested Over Suspected Drug Driving
Police arrested a 51-year-old man from a separate vehicle at the scene, suspecting him of drug-driving. He has since been released pending further investigation.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed deep sorrow for the victims’ families and stressed the need to piece together what happened to provide answers.
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic incident,” he said. “We urge the public not to speculate as investigations continue.”
