Kent Police have revealed that several wartime bombs were found on Sandwich Bay beach this afternoon. Around 2pm, a keen metal detectorist uncovered 11 suspected unexploded devices buried in the sand.
Bomb Squad Take Swift Action
Experts from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were quickly dispatched to the scene. Some of the dangerous devices have already been safely destroyed through controlled explosions, ensuring public safety.
