Police are hunting witnesses after a deadly car crash in uk/where/tottenham/">Tottenham during a police pursuit.
Fatal Collision Sparks Investigation
Just before 1am on Friday, 3 October, Met officers tried to stop a vehicle on Pretoria Road, N18. After a 60-second chase, the car disappeared from view.
Officers later found the crashed vehicle on The Roundway, N17. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but the 19-year-old passenger suffered severe injuries and died shortly after hospital admission.
Driver Arrested – Faces Dangerous Driving Charge
The 19-year-old driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of failure to stop and dangerous driving. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue. Thankfully, no one else was hurt.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) have been notified. Police urge anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.
