Young Drug Dealer Nabbed with £30,000 Crack and Heroin Operation
Femi Dadey, just 19, was locked up at Swindon Crown Court last Friday (1 April) after admitting to dealing class A drugs and possessing criminal property.
Cash, Designer Gear and Drug Texts Found at His Home
Dadey was arrested on January 24 when officers raided his Bath Road home. Under his pillow, where he was caught sleeping, police found a phone used to send bulk texts to vulnerable users, pushing crack cocaine and heroin.
Over nine weeks, his drug line raked in more than £30,000 illegally.
The search also uncovered around £2,000 in cash and £4,500 worth of flashy designer clothes bought with drug profits.
Detective Blasts Drug Dealing Lifestyle
“Dadey has been controlling a class A drugs line in Swindon for some time – supplying crack cocaine and heroin to vulnerable drug users within the town,” said Detective Sergeant Joe Shanklin.
“The phone hidden under his bed contained clear evidence of messages to multiple drug users, and inside his home, drugs were being prepared for sale.
“He earned thousands from this illegal ‘business’, living a lifestyle he couldn’t afford lawfully. The cash and designer goods were seized as proceeds of crime.
“I am pleased he has been sentenced to four years in a young offenders institute and that we have shut down this drugs line. Anyone thinking they can run drug operations under our noses in Swindon should think again. We will keep targeting offenders like Dadey.”
