Portsmouth Man Guilty of Murdering Lover Kayleigh

Mark Brandford, from Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth, was today found guilty of murdering his girlfriend Kayleigh. The 32-year-old was discovered with fatal injuries to her head and neck in Brandford’s flat on December 17, 2019, just before 10pm.

Brandford Denied All Charges

Despite denying the murder, a jury at Portsmouth Crown Court convicted Brandford. He was also found guilty of sharing private sexual videos of Kayleigh without her consent, aiming to cause her distress. This offence took place between October 2018 and December 2019, a charge Brandford also denied.

Sentencing Set for Friday

Brandford faces sentencing at Portsmouth Crown Court 1 on Friday, 26 February. Stay tuned for updates.
