A shocking murder probe is underway after a 61-year-old carer died from serious head injuries in north London.

Woman Dies Following Head Injury

Police were called at around 7:10am on Thursday, 24 May to a north London hospital where the victim was admitted with severe head injuries. She tragically passed away the next day at 10:57am on Friday, 25 May. Her family have been informed.

Incident Linked to Islington Home

Early investigations suggest the injuries happened at a residential address in Islington where the woman was working as a carer.

95-Year-Old Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

A 95-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Due to pre-existing health issues, he was taken to hospital as a precaution. He remains under police bail while inquiries continue.

The Central North Command Unit’s CID detectives are leading the investigation. Officers say no one else is being sought in connection with the case.
