Driver Mows Down Man Twice in Shocking Smiths Wood Attack

Adrian Peach left a man fighting for his life after a brutal hit-and-run in Rover Drive, Smiths Wood, on the afternoon of 5 July last year.

Peach first struck the victim with his car, then reversed and drove at him again. The man suffered severe head injuries that continue to affect him to this day.

Attack Linked to Earlier Disorder, Suspect Quickly Arrested

The terrifying assault reportedly followed an earlier disturbance. Police tracked down Peach as the driver and arrested him promptly.

Guilty of GBH, But Cleared of Attempted Murder

The 35-year-old from Acocks Green, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm. However, a jury cleared him of attempted murder charges.

Peach was sentenced to jail at Leamington Justice Centre on 15 March.
